What to do if you are bitten by a “black widow” or “violinist” spider while alone?

When we are doing a deep cleaning in our home it is not uncommon to find insects or bugs that are in the corners of the house or under furniture, but we generally get scared when there is the presence of spiders.

The worst thing is that we are talking about one of the most dangerous spiders, they are popularly known as the “black widow” and the “fiddler”.

But; How do you know that a spider is dangerous?

In the case of Mexicans, it is almost always found with spiders called “patuda”, that is, the long-legged spiders, which belongs to the Pholcidae family. These are the most common and harmless, in fact with their web they trap flies and mosquitoes, as explained by an expert of these species.

On the other hand, there are two very dangerous species to be very careful of, these are the ones already mentioned: “black widow” and “violinist”.

Description of this species:

They can be identified precisely by their appearance, black and shiny body, and they are also shaped like a red sandglass. Its poison so toxic that it lingers when it bites, can cause it to unleash the following symptoms:

  • It causes chest pain, in case it leaves an injury in the upper part and in the abdomen, in case there is passage in the lower end.
  • There may also be headache, sweating, muscle weakness, nausea, vomiting, seizures, numbness, etc.

The question is how to proceed if we are bitten by any of these species:
