Skin tags: what do these growths on the skin mean?

Harmless but sometimes bothersome, skin tags generally appear on the neck, armpits, or in skin folds. Wart, mole, skin tag: what’s the difference?
To prevent a potential risk of contagion and adapt treatment to your condition, it is important to know how to differentiate these small skin growths. It’s worth noting that skin tags are not the result of a viral infection, unlike warts, which occur following contamination with the human papillomavirus (HPV).
