To place the wire into the paper roll, just roll it over once to make it slightly longer. This is also the place where you may decide to utilize the whole roll or cut it into smaller pieces based on the cables’ dimensions and length.
It could be beneficial to indicate the kind of cable on the roll itself for better identification.
Using the cardboard roll as a “shuttle” for stray threads is another brilliant use for it. A simple way to maintain clean and untangled thread is to wrap it around the roll. Make a little vertical slit at one end of the roll; slide the thread end inside, and then begin rolling for a better fixation. After that, you can fasten the thread’s top end using the same cut or a different one. This manner, you can be absolutely certain that the thread will stay put.
