Use a neutral detergent to clean the burners and remember to remove dirt from the flame holes with a toothpick (dirt is one of the most common causes of poor cooktop performance).
Tempered glass cooktops
Modern gas cooktops can also be made of tempered glass and in this case require more gentle cleaning. First of all, clean them with soft cloths so as not to scratch the surface, then always use special products designed for this type of material, and in the case of stubborn dirt – a scraper designed specifically for removing dirt from glass.
If you do not have special products for cleaning tempered glass, you can soak a microfiber cloth in a solution of water and dishwashing liquid, wring it out well, and then wipe the surface of the appliance covered with citric acid. After removing the dirt, rinse thoroughly and dry, always using a microfiber cloth.
A trick that always works for any material and that is very helpful in removing the most stubborn stains is using citric acid. Simply mix a few spoons in a glass and gradually add water until you get a thick, pasty mixture. Spread on the surface to be cleaned, leave for a few minutes, remove with a sponge and dry with a cloth.
